A national public health disaster has been declared for the United States of America. The Center For Disease Control is the go-to place for information as it pertains to the Coronavirus (COVID-19).

Access to all City departments is limited, or prohibited, and phone calls and emails are the preferred method of doing business. In response to the declaration and to provide for the public health, safety, and welfare of all people, the City of Universal City has taken the following measures:

• Court will continue taking citation payments through its window service. Citations paid in full or warrant payments may be made using the Online Payment module: www.UCTX.Gov, search Online Payments. •Court appearances scheduled for all April courts  will be rescheduled.  Letters advising people of the rescheduled date will be sent out.  If you do not receive your letter by Monday, April 13, please call the court. ​
​•If you have a time payment due on 4/1/20, your new due date is 5/1/20.​If your time payment is due 4/15/20, it is now due by 5/15/20.
​•If you have a defensive driving completion date due in April, you will receive an additional 30 days from your due date to turn in your completion paperwork.

The Universal City Municipal Court handles all Class C misdemeanor traffic and city ordinance violations written by Universal City Police, Animal Control, and Code Enforcement departments. Universal City Municipal Court is a court of record.

Administrative Hours of Operation: 8:00 am-5:00 pm, Monday-Friday

If you are over 17 years old, you may be able to pay citations, process dismissal requests, or make arrangements for defensive driving, deferred disposition or a payment extension before your court date.

Check in begins at 7:00am; you must be seated in the courtroom no later than 8:15am in order to see the judge.

Court is held the 2nd and 4th Wednesday morning of each month; you must appear on your scheduled court date in order to appear before the judge. If you are not scheduled for a court docket you will not be admitted to the courtroom.
