The Universal City Public Library and the Friends of the Library are pleased to host an author visit by Allison Pittman whose latest book, Loving Luther, was released by Tyndale Press in September.
This month marks the 500th anniversary of the Protestant Reformation, the religious revolution that divided the Christian churches of the west and transformed the way millions of people think about the nature of God, as well as the spiritual lives of ordinary people. Loving Luther explores the meaning of this historical movement through the eyes of Katharina von Bora, a cloistered nun who, after discovering the writings of Martin Luther, and the scriptures which he had translated into German, left her orders to embrace a new way of life.
Pittman’s visit is part of the Writing for Life series, and is co-sponsored by the Friends of the Universal City Public Library. The program will begin at 6:30 p.m. on November 15. Everyone is welcome!
