National Night Out
It is time to organize your Block Party

1. How can I register for National Night Out?
Register by submitting the NNO Registration form, before August 31st. Register early to receive a visit from a caravan.
2. What is National Night Out?
National Night Out is the nation’s night out against crime, sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch. Residents are encouraged to join with their neighbors and have a neighborhood block party, ice cream social or other outdoor event to build neighborhood spirit and unity – which is the first defense against crime. Research shows that when neighbors know and look out for each other, crimes go down.
3. When is National Night Out?
National Night Out is on Tuesday, October 7, 2014 between 6 and 9 pm. NNO in Texas is held the first Tuesday in October.
4. Who can host a National Night Out Party?
The city of Universal City welcomes any neighborhood or community group to participate. This event is a great way to bring people together and have fun. The caravans consisting of elected officials, police officers, fire fighters, city employees and members of the Universal City Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association enjoy visiting
the block parties and conversing with residents.
